  I have no complaints about the doctors but the receptionist I encountered today is rude and should not be front of house dealing with patients. I allowed 48 hours before collection of my repeat prescription which I order through Lloyds the chemist next door to the surgery. When I went to collect today I was informed by Lloyds that they had not received the prescription back from the surgery so I could go there to request a paper copy. I did so and explained to the receptionist that Llyods had not received my prescription back which was sent to them on the same day I ordered 48 hours previously. I was told by the receptionist that they had not received a request from Lloyds for me. I again went back to Lloyds and repeated what the receptionist had told me. The lady in the chemist produced documentation that showed the request for my repeat prescription of Symbicort and Candestartan and it was dated the date I had ordered with them. I again went back to the surgery by now extremely breathless and feeling unwell and on entering the reception was greeted by the receptionist rolling her eyes when she saw me as if to say not you again. I told the receptionist I had seen the proof that the prescription request was sent to them 48 hours previously and explained I was desperate for the Symbicort as I had run out and would not have any for this evening or tomorrow which I urgently need for my COPD management. The attitude of the receptionist was disgraceful she was rude, unhelpful and her attitude toward me stunk. She told me I would have to come back tomorrow as there was no GP available to sign a prescription as they were in clinic. I told her I could not wait until then and asked if she could nip in between patients if i waited. Her response was no you can come back later after 6pm if you want. At that point a doctor walked in to the reception area and I asked him if he would sign it if she printed the prescription and he very kindly did so. However when I took the prescription to Lloyds they informed me it was not for Symbicort it was for a substitute to Symbicort which they did not have in stock. I asked if they had Symbicort in stock and they said they had but could not give that to me on the prescription as it was not what had been prescribed. I again went back to the surgery and again explained to the receptionist that I needed a new prescription for Symbicort as Lloyds do not stock the alternative prescribed. Again she repeated that I would have to come back later after surgery this time instead of 6pm she said 6.30pm. I was extremely breathless by now and feeling really Ill with all the running around backwards and forwards on top of the 50 minute walk I had to get there in the first place, which was blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes, so obvious that another patient behind me waiting in the queue asked if I was ok. The receptionist however did not give a damn. I told her I could not walk back again and was now frustrated and extremely upset with the dismissive attitude and the unhelpful attitude of the receptionist. I told her I was ill and breathless and needed my Symbicort to which she replied it was not her fault. I replied well it certainly is not mine, I had followed the 48 hour process it was the surgery that had failed me. She then pointed out that the Candestartan I had ordered was not included on the prescription as I needed a review. I told her I had a review of all my repeat medication in March so why did I need another review in April, only a month later. She replied well thats what it says on the system. I asked could one of the doctors phone me tomorrow to discuss all this and I was told no they are only doing triage tomorrow the next phone call she can book is for Tuesday the following week, 5 days later. I told her this was not good enough as not only have I now not got any Symbicort I now dont have enough Candestartan. I came home and was too Ill to go back. The receptionist was useless.
